Why Are My Transfers Peeling After I Pressed Them?
The most common cause of peeling or cracking transfers is not enough pressure. Transfers need to be pressed at 60-80 PSI. Do not use a home iron to press transfers! You need a heat press made for garments.
What Can I Use DTF Transfers On?
Anything that can withstand the pressure and heat of a heat press! Shirts, hats, wood, canvas, the possibilities are endless.
What Material Can DTF Transfers Be Used On?
Any material. Unlike sublimation, DTF can be pressed onto cotton, polyester, drifit, any material blends.
Do I Need To Put DTF On A Light Colored Garment?
No! DTF transfers have a color layer on top and a white base layer underneath, making the image vibrant on any color garment.
How Do I Size My Transfers?
Measure your garment or item to get an accurate size for whatever you are pressing your transfer to but as a general guide this is standard sizing for DTF transfers:
- Trucker Hat: 3X5 Inch
- Infant/Pocket: 3-5 Inch
- Toddler: 7 Inch
- Youth: 9 Inch
- Adult S/M: 11 Inch
- Adult L/XL: 12 Inch
- Adult Plus: 13 Inch
- Adult Extended Sizes: 14-15 Inch
Your personal preference also plays a part in how you want your garment to look. We love an oversized print! We print 13-14 inch transfers for our retail graphic tees & sweatshirts.
Do You Offer Artwork Prep/Clean Up?
Yes! For a small fee we can help get your artwork prepped for printing.
Do You Offer Custom Artwork?
No we do not offer custom designing at this time.
How Should I Store My DTF Transfers?
Transfers should be stored in a cool dry environment away from direct sunlight. Store in a sealed bag with a silica packet to keep humidity away from transfers. Humidity can cause the film to lift from the transfer. If this does happen, you can still use your transfer just be mindful of any small details that may need smoothed out before you press.
How Long Can I Store My DTF Transfers Before Pressing?
Transfers can be stored for up to 12 months if stored properly.
