Using Chat GPT To Create Images For DTF Printing
Chat GPT is not a graphic design software, but many people are using it to create images for DTF printing. While we do not recommend relying on chat GPT for a high-quality image, let us give you a few tips to get the best possible outcome if you are using Chat GPT.
Be very specific and ask for a PNG image with a true transparent background and a 300 DPI resolution made for DTF printing with a 15 inch artboard.
After it generates your image, download it and upload it into the gang sheet builder to run a quality check through the builder's press check feature. Even if you are going to upload as a custom single print transfer, this is a useful tool to see if your image is print ready.
Here you can see, even though we asked it to create a high resolution image it only produced a 72 DPI. We want a 300 DPI for the best result, but we do not recommend printing anything under 150 DPI.
If you are ordering transfers as a gang sheet we recommend using the press check and the upscale feature to prep your artwork before adding it to your gang sheet and printing it.
After running it through the press check and using the upscale feature we increased the resolution to 276 DPI!
If you are not using the gang sheet builder to order multiple transfers of your image, you can upload your image to our site as a custom single print. However, we do recommend paying our $5 artwork prep fee to get your file high resolution and ready to print before ordering. A low-resolution file produced by Chat GPT will print grainy and pixelated.
Our smallest gang sheet is a 15X25, perfect for two transfers. It may be cheaper to order a small gang sheet and utilize our free press check software inside of the gang sheet builder to prep your file and order two transfers. If you don't need two of your images, you can choose another image from our library to add to your sheet instead of paying for one single print with the $5 artwork prep fee.
We just want you to have the highest quality transfer! And it all comes down to the quality of your artwork :)
If you haven't used the gang sheet builder before, you can find the guide down below.
